Accurate Transfer of the Patient Anatomy
The facebow transfers the position of the maxilla in cranium/axis relation into the articulator. Thus, the articulator serves as static situation of the patient's mouth in a 1:1 relation. This procedure builds the basis for a functioning prosthetic restoration. A facebow registration is absolutely necessary for diagnosis and therapy of functional disorders and significantly reduces the grinding time at chairside.
