Extension of the integrated Ceramill CAD/CAM workflow - digital solutions lead the way into the dental practice
Ceramill Direct Restoration Solution (DRS) from Amann Girrbach for interdisciplinary future-oriented collaboration and speedy production
With its Ceramill Direct Restoration Solution (DRS), Amann Girrbach is extending its integrated digital workflow to the dentist, thus closing the existing communication gap between the dental practice and the laboratory. In this process, both partners contribute their core competencies to provide patients with definitive and functional dentures even more quickly and less complicated - smaller units are also possible on the same day, depending on the local distance between the two partners.
Depending on the type of collaboration desired, three Ceramill Team workflows are available in combination with the corresponding Ceramill DRS Kits. The central basis of these workflows is always the new AG.Live digital platform, which offers both an infrastructure and patient case management at a realizable consistency and efficiency previously unattainable and takes the flow of information and work between the practice and the laboratory to an entirely new level. Furthermore, simple restorations can be produced more quickly and placed in the patient's mouth, providing a better dental experience for the patient and ultimately generating new patients.
The Ceramill DRS Connection Kit acts as the basic and entry-level variant, with which dentists and laboratories can already take full advantage of digitization. It consists of the intraoral scanner, the Ceramill Map DRS, the associated scan software and the AG.Live connection. Any order data including all the required information can therefore be shared seamlessly and in real time with the laboratory, thus eliminating the need for handwritten job sheets and conventional impressions. All that is necessary is a single physical transport: getting the restoration to the practice for insertion in the patient's mouth, even on the same day in case of simple restorations. And if the preferred material is zirconia, the High-Speed Zirconia Kit, consisting of the Zolid DRS high-speed sintering zirconia and the corresponding Ceramill Therm DRS sintering furnace, can optimally support the laboratory in fabricating even straightforward zirconia restorations on the same day.
To provide patients with dentures even quicker, the Ceramill DRS Connection Kit can be expanded in the dental practice with the Ceramill DRS Production Kit, consisting of the Ceramill Mind DRS design software and the Ceramill Motion DRS CNC milling machine. This allows simple restorations to be fabricated in the practice and placed in the patient's mouth in a single session - providing for an even better dental experience. This can generate new patients for the practice, and treated patients keep coming back, also for major procedures.

The High Speed Zirconia Kit will already be available to laboratories in the third quarter of 2021.
