With Ceramill DRS (Direct Restoration Solution) and the AG.Live platform, we offer dental practices and laboratories an easy and safe gateway to digital dentistry. Validated materials and processes combined with digital communication enable you to fabricate high-quality restorations in the shortest possible time. With the new Ceramill DRS Production Kit+ machine and software package, dental practices can now offer Single Visit Dentistry or Same Day Dentistry without having to invest in an additional intraoral scanner. Among other things, single crowns or up to three-unit bridges can be fabricated in high quality in one's own practice in just a few steps. For this purpose, the scan files (.stl or .ply) of the Ceramill Map DRS intraoral scanner or, from now on, also the scan data from existing scanners of other manufacturers in the practice, are uploaded to the AG.Live software platform and the restorations are designed with merely a few clicks using the intuitive Ceramill Mind DRS software. Production is performed on the Ceramill Motion DRS four-axis CNC milling machine, which delivers highly esthetic results in only 15 minutes. All materials, as well as milling strategies and tools, are validated together with the respective manufacturers and offer top safety and long-term stability for the restoration. Larger dentures can be transferred quickly and easily directly to the laboratory with the aid of the digital workflow via AG.Live.
"Our new add-on creates highly flexible and manufacturer-independent options for dental practices - while at the same time ensuring high process reliability and providing unsurpassed restoration quality. The fact that intraoral scan data from other manufacturers can now also be processed in our Ceramill DRS Production Kit+ means that dental practices can expand their range of services in the field of Same Day Dentistry, offer Single Visit Dentistry and use existing equipment. The file upload of 3shape, Medit and I-Tero intraoral scanners has already been validated, but all other intraoral scanners can also be used. Due to the link to our AG.Live platform and simple data sharing with the laboratory, a spontaneous decision can still be made at any time to have fabrication performed in the laboratory - and of course direct support is always possible," explains Elena Bleil, Product Manager Global Business Unit Clinical CAD/CAM at Amann Girrbach.
