Together with the Ceramill Matik Full Service Unit, the 4.0 update of the Ceramill software enables secondary crowns for telescope restorations to be fabricated in the familiar, wizard-guided Ceramill workflow.
To this end, the new indication "Secondary Crowns" was implemented in the database. There, the dental technician can save matched parameters as well as specific milling strategies specifically for this indication. In addition, the workflow has been optimized to give a more precise definition of the insertion direction and an improved block-out when creating crown bases.
The combination of the new software features with the Ceramill Matik production unit makes it possible to significantly shorten the work steps in the fabrication of secondary crowns. After calculating and outputting the milling program, the user can select the re-milling cycles directly on the machine display and re-mill to the desired fit. In daily laboratory routines, this significantly reduces the time required for the fabrication of accurately fitting secondary crowns. Furthermore, a workaround or output of multiple milling jobs is not required. Here, Amann Girrbach provides a validated and intuitive process which begins with scanning and ends with the accurately fabricated restoration.
