What once required painstaking manual labour and daring patients has been transformed by groundbreaking technology.

An authentic 1920s dentist chair at our headquarters reflects the incredible journey of dental prosthetics over the last century. What once required painstaking manual labour and daring patients has been transformed by groundbreaking technology, revolutionising patient care and the entire field of dentistry.

Our commitment to dental innovation stretches back long before our official founding in 2004. Our story began in 1936 when Herbert Girrbach established Girrbach Dental GmbH in Pforzheim, Germany. In 1973, Dietmar Amann embarked on his own pioneering journey, founding Amann Dental GmbH. These two visionary companies would later unite, forming the cornerstone of today’s Amann Girrbach.

Today, Amann Girrbach’s solutions enhance dental care in over 90 countries, supported by a network of international offices and a state-of-the-art production facility in Mäder, Austria. But the journey from the vintage dentist chair to the digital dental workflows of today is just the beginning.

At Amann Girrbach, we’re excited to continue shaping the future of dental prosthetics as we work for a smile.

Continuous training and knowledge sharing are key components of Amann Girrbach’s philosophy.

The Amann Girrbach Academy offers training courses for customers and trade partners.

The training centre has CAD and CAM practice rooms, a dental labouratory and a dental treatment room.

Training courses cover hardware and software applications as well as the use of Amann Girrbach materials.

Digital and analogue workflows as well as subtractive and additive manufacturing processes are on display in the showroom.
