“This course teaches practical layering techniques based on the Matisse Shade Matching Concept and shows how color design can be optimized using a systematic protocol.

Color selection is often a challenge in dentistry, especially when reconstructing individual anterior teeth. The expectations of patients, practitioners, and one’s own standards complicate the process. Essential factors such as brightness, transparency, and opacity are often neglected, even though they are crucial for aesthetic success.

The two-day course demonstrates how digital color analysis with the Optishade system and the Matisse layering scheme can be used to design teeth precisely and efficiently—for consistent and reproducible results.

The speaker: Shahab Esfarjani
Shahab Esfarjani was born in Tehran in 1963 and trained as a dental technician from 1981 to 1984. After completing his master’s degree in 1993, he worked as a self-employed master dental technician, first in Idstein (Germany) and then, from 2015, in Innsbruck (Tyrol). In 2022, he opened another branch in Götzis (Vorarlberg) and has since been giving photography courses for dental technicians and dentists.
