Efficient and secure: The advantages of RFID tools for your workflow
Our milling and grinding tools equipped with RFID technology offer you a variety of advantages that optimize your workflow and increase efficiency.
Date
Automatic Tool Recognition:
Through the RFID chip in the packaging, the machine automatically recognizes each tool and its position in the magazine. This allows for arbitrary placement of the tools.
Wear Tracking:
The wear level of each tool is stored on the RFID chip, enabling continuous monitoring. This ensures process safety and prevents scrap due to worn-out tools.
Cost Reduction:
RFID tools help to reduce costs. Without RFID technology, it is often unclear how long a tool has been used, which can lead to a loss of process safety and consequently to repeated manufacturing of constructions. Additionally, there is a corresponding material loss. With RFID, you know exactly how long you can use a tool safely and when it is advisable to replace it with a new one.
Protection of Tool Edges:
Since the tools remain in the packaging throughout their entire service life and are only removed by the machine, they are maximally protected from damage to the delicate edges. This ensures the quality of milling results over the entire lifespan.
Resource Check:
When transferring the machining file, the machine automatically checks which tools are needed for the job and gives immediate feedback on whether they are available. This allows the job to start immediately. If tools required for a job are missing from the machine, this is immediately displayed on the HMI, facilitating the correct loading of the machine. This prevents tool mix-ups or incorrect use.
Visual Aids:
Different colored packaging makes it easier to recognize tool groups, speeding up assignment and handling.
